What is an Emergency Dispatcher?

The dispatcher is an essential and crucial part of the law enforcement team. • After passing the pre-employment test, candidates will be invited to participate in hiring interview designed to assess specific competencies necessary to perform the duties of an Emergency Dispatcher. The Hiring Interview will be based on the Michigan Department of Civil Service validated job assessment for the position.
• Selected candidates will be given a Conditional Offer of Employment, pending the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening test.
